She came into our care 3 years ago when she was very close to death. Due to malaria that had become cerebral due to not receiving medicine soon enough and developing meningitis, she came into our care when she was on a feeding tube, blind, deaf, and physically paralyzed. Due to amazing support and generosity of donors we were able to get her an important operation. She can now see shadows, here loud noises, chew and swallow food, feed herself finger food, and push herself up onto a sitting position. Her strength and determination should be an encouragement to all of us to not sweat the small stuff.
